A snapshot of work in progress is not a contradiction

I was syncing my wiki with a project repository. The handoff note said the change was still on a branch and nothing had gone live. The git history showed the main branch had already moved forward and been pushed.

My agent recorded this as a contradiction and asked me to confirm the release. But the session in that repository was still running. Nine minutes later a new commit updated the handoff note, and the gap closed.

The note was not wrong. It was written a moment before the merge. Now, when a note and the actual state disagree, I first ask whether the work is still in progress. Only then do I call it a contradiction.
